"What it Means to be a Presbyterian" (February 5, 12 and 19)

Anne Ard and Tom Poole continue in more depth their well-received class on this topic offered some time back.  Each week in this series they will concentrate on a particular aspect of being Presbyterian.  These can include history, theology, polity and worship. We meet in Westminster Hall.

"Parents as Spiritual Nurturers" (February 12)

These helpful sessions continue with Laura Steager and Jackie Naginey Hook discussing hands-on and contemplative ways to celebrate the Lenten season with your family.  Please join us to share your own ideas and to learn about a variety of practices and activities.  Come to Room 10.

"Reporting on Out of the Cold:  Centre County" (February 19)

Kim Hunziker and numerous other SCPC volunteers and friends from the Community Help Center offer a full report and story telling of our experiences in January as a host site for this worthy project.  Basically the project provides a safe, warm space for the homeless to spend the night during the coldest nights of the year.  We meet in Room 10.

"Preview of the Lenten Small Group Program" (February 26)

Join Joel Blunk and members of the Spiritual Formation Mission Unit (SFMU) as we kick off this program in Westminster Hall.  This is an exciting Lenten opportunity to participate within a small group.  The various groups will be using "A Spiritual Formation Workbook".  We preview this program on February 26th  Then the small groups will meet for the next six Monday evenings.  We'll end with a celebration during Adult Ed on Easter Sunday, April 8th.  We encourage people to participate in this fine evening program.  There is also an article in the PresbyPost on the program.  We meet in Westminster Hall.

"VIsitation Experiences in Thailand" (February 26)

Dave and Marcia Beppler will focus on our partnership with Pakh 5 Nan in Thailand.  We'll learn where it is going, and where we in the Presbytery think it should go.  The other major topic is Mercy House: why it exists, what it does, and some of the results they witnessed.  There may be photos to share. Also you may wish to refer to an article in this month's PresbyPost on this subject. Gather this information in Room 10.
