Committees and Units
The Session is divided into Ministry Units/Committees and sub-committees. See below for a list and brief description of each ministry unit/committee.

Building and Property
Responsible for the building and property affairs of the church.
Financial Affairs
Responsible for the business and financial concerns of the church.
Generosity
Encourages and facilitates members’ support (financial, in-kind, and volunteer) of the varied ministries of the congregation.
CAYAM (College Age and Young Adult Ministries)
Oversees and supports ministries for college students and young adults.
Education Ministry Unit
Responsible for the total education program of the church. Elders divide between subcommittees for the

Membership
Responsible for welcoming visitors and encouraging new members to join our faith community.
Social Justice and Mission Team
Responsible for all mission activities – local, national, and global.
Personnel Committee
Responsible for all of the personnel concerns of the church.
Worship
Responsible for the worship life and music ministry of the church.
Additional Groups
Strategic Plan Implementation Team
Responsible for taking the “handoff” from our strategic plan consultants (Ministry Architects) and implementing the recommended actions.

Exploring ways SCPC can be even more welcoming–especially to our most vulnerable and marginalized neighbors.
