Disruption and change have become the new normal.  Individually and collectively, we are getting used to being in a state of transition.  How do we move from isolation to community; from transition to transformation, from distraction to focusing on what is essential?  How do we honor what has been lost as we move forward?

Join the Spiritual Life Ministry Unit for an afternoon as we reflect and share on these questions. 
Our scriptural cornerstone will be John 15: 1-17: "I am the true vine.." 
​There will be time for solitude, small group discussion, and a community meal.

Location
Our retreat will be held at Millbrook Marsh. We have chosen this beautiful outdoor venue for it’s wonderful, explorable space and adaptable space for safety during this COVID-19 season. To learn more about Millbrook Marsh, find their website here. For directions to Millbrook Marsh click here. 
 
Donation
A donation of $10 per person would be appreciated (but not required) and will be collected at the event.
 
​What to Bring

• Warm clothing -- As our event will be held partially outdoors and in a ventilated barn. We ask that you dress accordingly for cool, Fall weather. We recommend lots of layers. And who doesn’t want a cozy blanket to snuggle up with??

• Good walking shoes -- Millbrook Marsh is very accessible, but we advise wearing shoes that will keep you comfortable. 

• Water Bottle -- We will have water bottles for meal time, but please consider bringing your own reusable water bottle. Planet Earth thanks you :)

• Coffee or tea in your travel mug -- If you want something warm to drink or some caffeine to keep you going feel free to bring it along. No coffee will be provided

• Journal and Pen -- If you are someone who processes through writing it’s a good idea to bring these with you. ​

Tentative Itinerary

• 3:00 pm- Arrive at Millbrook; settle in -- Introduction to retreat 
• 3:15 pm- Worship + A short reflection --  We’ll center and remind ourselves why we’ve gathered and start exploring what scripture offers us in this season. 
• 3:45 pm- Guided walking meditation --   Take a walk through the Marsh with our guided questions to lead you through a deeper dive into Scripture as we reflect on abiding in Christ and loving one another. 
• 4:15 pm-Small Group connection -- Wisdom gathering and further reflection in casual small groups. We want to make sure we are intentional about connecting and sharing our stories so we may hold each other up as we continue together in faith. 
• 5:30 pm- Closing circle
• 5:45 pm- Dinner --  We will provide boxed meals for individuals; please indicate any allergies on your registration so we can meet these needs. 
• 6:15 pm- Head home
