Strategic Implementation Team
UPDATE: FEBRUARY, 2026
This team was established in November, 2025, in response to the assessment report created by Ministry Architects, after conducting numerous listening sessions with the SCPC community. This assessment report identified current challenges for our church affecting our ability to move forward with strategic success. The Strategic Implementation Team effectively deals with all recommendations listed in the assessment report, completing tasks related to the creation of long-term stability for the church, and oversees the long-term initiatives for the church. This team works closely with the church prayer team for spiritual support throughout the process.

Specific tasks have, and will continue to include:
- Schedule and deliver a Vision Summit for members and leadership of SCPC
- Oversee consensus approval of the vision and mission statement, as well as values identified during the summit
- Assess all volunteer opportunities within the church community and create a user-friendly system members may use to become involved in the church
- Develop a strategic staffing plan that is sustainable and clearly aligns with congregational needs; update staff job descriptions
- Create an organizational chart that includes staff, committees and volunteers
- Conduct an audit of church communication methods, both internal and external to the congregation
- Create a marketing game plan that will invite the community to engage with SCPC
The work of this committee is detailed and time-consuming. It involves investigating current practices and procedures while acknowledging challenges and obstacles to success. Under the leadership provided by Ministry Architects, this committee works closely with Pastor Scott and church leadership to determine the best ways to create an infrastructure for future, sustainable success.
The life of this committee is 18 months, overseeing the implementation of the outcomes identified by the initial assessment report. We work closely with the collective SCPC community to discern our priorities in a calculated, impassioned effort, establishing consensus and moving forward with confidence and support.
