Welcome to Our Children & Youth Ministries

All Children and Youth are Welcome at SCPC!

From the moment you walk in the door, we hope you feel that this community can be a home for you and your family. We encourage parents to sit anywhere during worship. However, up close often works best so children can see, hear, and feel included.

Each Sunday, we provide Children’s Bulletins for preschool and elementary-aged children, helping them participate in worship in their own special way.

During the worship service, our Director of Christian Education, Laura Green, leads the Time for Children. Her messages—based on Scripture and shared in a fun, memorable way—are geared toward ages 3 through 5th grade.

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.” – Mark 10:14

A Parenting Tip for Spiritual Nurturing

Take a moment to think about the gifts each child brings, and give thanks for them. What feels challenging can often reveal a blessing in disguise. For example, a child who moves slowly and gets distracted easily may be helping you pause to notice more of the “God moments” in everyday life.

Pray:

“O Beautiful Presence, open my eyes to the opportunities this day has to offer. Amen.”
