Welcome to our Congregation and our Worship!
We believe that Jesus Christ came to reveal the fullness of God's love for us, and we continue to celebrate that love through praise, sacraments, service, and community.
State College Presbyterian Church is a warm, diverse, dynamic faith community with people of all ages and generations coming together to learn, serve and worship together
In response to God’s unconditional love and Jesus’ example of hospitality, State College Presbyterian Church is called to be a welcoming community. We affirm all people equally, regardless of, for example, race, ethnicity, age, gender identity, sexual orientation, capability, religious background, or circumstance of life. We are committed to removing barriers that separate us. As we gather in worship, fellowship and service, all are welcome.

FISH (Fellowship in Sr. High) Happenings
Prayer is the name of an ongoing project remade around the world since its first presentation by the artist James Webb in his hometown of Cape Town, South Africa, in 2000.
The work consists of recordings of prayer from individuals who belong to various faith communities in the host city. Listeners are invited to remove their shoes and walk the length of the carpet, listening as they go to the gathered voices or kneeling or sitting next to a speaker to listen to a particular prayer.
We would like to create a similar experience here at State College Presbyterian Church and are seeking your help and input. We would like to gather as many prayers as possible. They will then be loaded onto small portable speakers by our sound engineer Kerry Trout.
We need your help by recording your prayer. It could be the prayer of an individual, or a group prayer. It may be spoken, chanted, or sung. It may be spoken in a silent setting or accompanied by music. You decide what sounds the best! Just record what for you is an authentic prayer reflecting the joys, needs, hopes, or beliefs of your tradition.
The recordings are easy to make. Simply use the voice recorder on your phone. Keep the microphone about one foot from your mouth. Or, if a group prayer, then huddle around the microphone. Then, save the file and send it to us at email@example.com.
The deadline is Friday, March 1. We will be setting up the installation at State College Presbyterian Church during Lent.
The Season of Lent begins on Wednesday, March 6 with Ash Wednesday and continues through Holy Week (April 20). Our emphasis during Lent this year will be PRAYER. Our Sunday morning worship services and sermons will focus on prayer. The Prayer activity described above will be part of our Lenten observance. Make plans to join us through Lent and Holy Week as we prepare for the coming Easter.
