LOGOS 2023
SCPC's LOGOS program is a mid-week ministry for children and youth in 1st-8th grade. LOGOS Geckos is our program for 1st-5th grade and LOGOS Chrysalis is our 6th-8th grade ministry. Each Tuesday in September-April, we build multi-generational relationships between participants and church volunteers as we prepare to lead worship together, study God's Word, play together and share a meal. All SCPC families with children of program age are encouraged to be part of this wonderful ministry. If you have questions about the program, please feel free to reach out to our program director, Keri Rounsville (814-574-5156) or Deannine Shipman (814-238-2422 ext. 213). Regular LOGOS Schedule
The time for the evening will allow the children/youth extra unmasked time between school and the start of the program. LOGOS Geckos will run from arrival at 4:00 pm to programming from 4:15 pm-7:00 pm. Chrysalis will continue as previously from 5:15 pm-8:00 pm. All the Details:

Information and Times for LOGOS
LOGOS is a four-part program of Christian nurture including Bible Study, Worship Skills, Recreation/Activities and Dinners for Children and Youth in Grades 1-8.
The program for elementary aged children is called GECKOS (*God's Enthusiastic Caring Kids of Spirit), and it is designed to be the start of their Logos experience. GECKOS children enter through the parking lot doors and we have a greeter on hand from 4:00 pm - 4:15 pm. Parents can watch children enter through the glass doors and then they can drive off! Children should go directly to Westminster Hall. The program begins at 4:15 and runs until 7:00 pm. Children who arrive after 4:15 pm will need a parent escort into the building to find their first rotation. Parent pick up is at 7pm in the Social Hall.
Middle School youth are in the LOGOS group called "Chrysalis." Middle School youth can arrive at 4:15 pm for Cocoon Time in the back of the sanctuary (doing homework and chatting), and then they will have group singing in the Tower Room from 5:15 pm-5:35 pm, and then they will start their official program time at 5:35 pm with Worship Skills in the Choir Room. Chrysalis ends at 8:00 pm. See the "Chrysalis" page for details about their program.

Our Program
We study God's word every week, but that's not all! In addition to studying God's word, we practice living out God's word on each other. We practice treating everyone as a child of God as we have a meal together, as we play games or make neat stuff together, and as we work together to lead worship as a choir. We're all children of God, young and old, and we treat each other that way.
Forms are online, and in the church office. Questions may be directed to the LOGOS Director, Keri Rounsville (814-574-5156).
