State College Presbyterian Church first chartered Scouts BSA boys Troop 32 in 1914, making it the oldest continuously chartered Scouts BSA Troop in State College. In 2019, the Church chartered Scouts BSA Troop 32G, one of the first all-girls troops in the United States.  In 2022, State College Presbyterian added Cub Scout Pack 32 to serve elementary-aged youth.  Following a core tenet of the church, all are welcome here, we now support Scouting America (formerly Boy Scouts of America) opportunities for boys and girls in our faith community and in surrounding neighborhoods from age 5 to 18.

Troop 32 boys and girls troops are Scout-led, meaning that the Scouts plan and run the program, developing their leadership, planning, communication, and interpersonal skills along the way.  The troops participate in monthly camping trips, an annual week-long summer camp, and high adventure trips every other year.  Recent special activities include canoeing in the Algonquin region of Canada (2022), backpacking in West Virginia (2023) and a week-long bike trip along the C&O Canal (2024).

Pack 32 offers age-appropriate activities designed to teach and/or reinforce core Scouting objectives, leadership development, citizenship training, personal fitness, and character development.  Pinewood Derby car building and racing, family overnight camp, and an annual Blue and Gold Banquet are highlights, along with service to the community such as canvassing neighborhoods for the annual Scouting for Food program.  Recent travels took the Cubs, families and leaders to Poe Paddy State Park, the State College Police Station (as guests!), bowling, and an overnight campout on the field after a State College Spikes baseball game.

Troop 32B, Troop 32G and Pack 32 are blessed to be supported, led and guided by a large group of very dedicated adult leaders, all of whom have taken in-depth training in youth protection and have passed state mandated background checks.
